CK2 is the only one of their games that has grabbed me.
You might want to try EU4 then. I've noticed a pattern in my friends, that once Paradox has finally nailed the engine for a certain player's standards, that player tends to like all new games (EU, Hearts of Iron, Crusader Kings). Seen it over and over.

Just a thought. You may have a timesink in the future and not even know it!

Plus you're already over the learning curve for ALL of the games once you've learned just one, which is what stops many people from trying.

Nowadays they sell you those patches for money and I'm just gonna wait for the complete edition (as opposed to the Complete Edition which is not complete at all, at least in the EU3 case) a few years down the road.

Nowadys they release their games in a far better condition, see Crusader Kings 2. And the addons add elemental new features, EU III at the end isn't comparable to the game that it once was years ago.

But I'm also greedy, I tend to wait for the first huge sale which usually happens within few months.

I used to just buy these games at launch. They were shit but you could rely on Paradox to fix them over the next year and your money was simply an investment.

Score one for greed.

I have to wonder if this is something coming from the Magna Mundi debacle. Since the Magna Mundi team got their project dropped, mayhap this is going to incorporate all the things which made that mod so great, but done in-house.
