Ships Ahoy - Max Payne 3 DLC

Rockstar Games announces the release of the Local Justice Pack for the PC edition of Max Payne 3, along with several other pieces of DLC for the third-person shooter sequel. Here's the deal:

The Local Justice Pack for Max Payne 3 is now available for PC today via the in-game store.

Featuring three new maps for
Max Payne 3 Multiplayer based on areas from the game’s intense final chapters, plus the M4 Assault Rifle, the Light Fingers Item for faster looting and a new São Paulo Police multiplayer faction, the Local Justice Pack will be available for one week only at a discounted price of $5.99, before reverting to its normal price of $7.99. Of course, anyone that purchased the Max Payne 3 Rockstar Pass will receive this pack (and all other Max Payne 3 DLC) free of charge.

Also available today for PC, all the pre-order and retail downloadable content, including:

  • Cemetery Multiplayer Map ($1.99)
  • Special Edition Pack ($1.99)
  • Silent Killer Loadout Pack ($1.99)
  • Pill Bottle Item ($0.99)
  • Deadly Force Burst ($0.99)
  • Classic Max Payne Multiplayer Character ($0.99)

All these items are also available for free to anyone that has purchased the Max Payne 3 Rockstar Pass. If you have the Steam version of the game and own the Rockstar Pass, the content should automatically show up in your game once you restart.

Steam update for this today broke the damn game, had to reinstall Social Club from elsewhere and even then couldn't sign in. Hopefully it's fixed by now.

Annoying.

Quick fix is to look in the Max Payne folder there is a updated Social Club app, just run it.
Found that on Steam Forums yesterday within 40 seconds of looking around.

I already said that in my post.

But why would anyone want to play this broken ass MP in MP3 ... I have no clue.. it's filled with hackers and obvious ones at that. 0 Moderation, 0 Cheat protection, and 0 fun. Completely imbalanced, terrible spawn system (puts even BF3 Close Quarters with 64 players to shame!)

Oh man... I tried it once, started to have fun, and then some hacker or someone with horrid connection got online and started warping all over the map. They'd shoot-dodge, hit the ground, and I'd unload on them, then they'd warp back into mid-air and kill me.

I'll pass.

Bought this in the Steam sale and so far I'm absolutely hating it (the single-player, haven't tested the MP and don't intend to). Aside from the annoyance of having to sign into RSC, there's the slightly janky controls. Cutscene interruptions at a ridiculous rate. Cutscenes that often place you in a less than advantageous position when they end. Cutscenes that change your armament. And the glorious steam integration where pulling up the overlay to chat with your friends simultaneously drains your bullet time (shift) and uses up your painkillers (tab), instead of auto-pausing. The cover system feels weird too.

I'm just not having any fun playing this (up to chapter 5), and so I haven't even launched in more than a week. Think it's going to join LA Noire on the grand small shelf of games I never bothered finishing.

It should be mentioned I never liked the first one either, and so skipped the 2nd installment of the series. Just not my type of shooter.

So, can I mark you up as a maybe for buying the DLC?

hehe

This fixed the problem! Thanks for the info! Maybe I can finish this game now.

Why isn't there a remake of Westworld?

A buck for the classic max skin? Are they serious? Was a time that would have been free, along with most everything else listed. Damn greedy publishers!

Damn greedy publishers!

And you can thank those who bought all kind of dlc for that.

You would think with this many Multiplayer DLCs, they would at least support dedicated server.

Weird, I have some of these items already, even though I didn't pre-order the game.
