Sadly, it's not just HIS assets they're holding in limbo forever. Thousands of innocent people lost all their data (and I agree that they were fucking stupid to only have it stashed there, but that's another story), and the US government basically says "Yeah, fuck you and your fucking data."
So today the US gov does it to Megaupload. What if tomorrow some cunt in the Department of Cuntery decides that a terrorist has data stored in the Amazon cloud. Are they just going to take down the Amazon cloud and keep it in limbo forever?
To call the slope they just created "slippery" is the biggest understatement of the millenium.
