I'm not thrilled about the legal implications of how it went down but his business was a scam, charging idiots monthly fees to download songs and movies. He was a known shyster with previous charges for embezzlement, it drives me nuts that people hold up that idiot as some sort of poster boy for the social media generation. He did not do these things to deliver some fabled new age of media onto the masses, he did it so that he could sit on his fat ass in a mansion and play Modern Warfare 3 all day. He spit in the face of these industries, profiting directly from piracy and did it using a series of loopholes and dubious techniques. It is no surprise to me that they responded in kind, his business is shuttered and the US will hold his assets in limbo forever. He deserved no less.
