| Nate Wells played Keeper Artemus in the Thief games. The character that scrapes Garrett up off the streets and trains him up. |

Hey now, there ain't nothin' wrong with dressing up like a little girl and prancing around on a Friday night...
Oh wait, you're talking about Bioshock, aren't you? |

| Seems fun to me ^^ Not much different from Bioshock 1 or 2, I'd rather babysit a real character than 40 resource spenders dressed as little girls through the same routine over and over. |

I guess I need to clarify why my interest in Bioshock is practically non-existent.

Does constantly saving / escorting / interacting with that girl seem fun to you? And the whining that she does, OMG, that would grate on my nerves.
You are not a hero... you are a babysitter with guns.

| That's exactly it, you don't need an art director or a director for product development (is that even a legitimate job?) for polish at this stage, art should be done (if it isn't, they wasted 4 years!) |

What game nowadays, with their 4+ years development time, massive budgets, and crazy big design teams doesn't hit "choppy waters" at some point in development? Such ambiguity is beyond meaningless. Maybe the dudes who left didn't like the design decisions being made, maybe they were asses and got canned, or maybe they decided to become Albanian missionaries. Who knows? Who cares?
Other than both looking spectacular in previews, I have no opinion about whether Bioshock Infinite or Dishonored are going to be awesome or terrible. How can any of us know if either are great, shitty, or anything in between? If neither suck completely, I end up with both I'm sure. I'll make a judgement about which is better after playing them. |

Something about constantly having to save/escort that girl seems utterly annoying. Dishonored definitely looks great, but I'm going to play and enjoy both. I guess I'm one of the few who really enjoyed those sorts of portions of HL2: Episode 1 / 2 - I thought they were really well done, and I hope BS: Infinite pulls off this sort of thing just as well. |

BioShock is one of my favorite games, mixing my top gaming desires all into one lovely mixture: story, immersion, unique location, exploration, shooting.
If it only had stealth and better RPG mechanics it would have been perfect. Oh, hey there Dishonored! |

I'd pretty much ignored Dishonored until the last month or so, but I have to admit, it's looking good. I hope it plays well...

| And aren't they just in an extended polish stage now anyway? Used to be scheduled for release in October, wasn't it? Then they decided to delay it by six months or so to make it even better. As long as they don't pull a Blizzard and decide to change some major stuff in the next month or two, I don't see how senior devs leaving raises any red flags at all. If I had to guess, they probably just recently hit feature-complete/beta status and so these guys were free to go as they please. I mean, it may be as big a deal as any other developer leaving a long-time studio, but I don't think it says anything about the game itself, good or bad. |
