About a week of rain is to be followed by another week of rain around here. There's an old joke about rain always coming right after you wash your car, but that can't happen to us because you aren't allowed to wash your car here because we are apparently in the midst of a drought. A really wet drought.

I think that's funny since I thought the commentary and pieces they did during the opening ceremony were nauseatingly terrible. I'd rather they just hadn't said a word and just showed video of the whole event :p

XXX Olympics kind of gives a whole new meaning to getting screwed by the Russian judge.

Is it true that NBC cut out 'Abide with me'? Can you imagine the outcry if a foreign broadcaster cut a 9/11 tribute from a US show?
