There is non-stop coverage in the media about the shooting at the Batman premiere, with an obsession with the answer to "why" this would happen. The answer is easy: To get non-stop coverage in the media.

Fortunately, I haven't at least been HEARING on the TV people blaming video games. Then again maybe "he who shall not be named" is blasting them online, but I've been too busy to look for news about it.

Interestingly enough, I was hearing conspiracy theories on the radio about how this ties into the whole UN thing going on and that the psycho was really just a patsy... but even though the guy was serious I was just laughing out loud on the drive home.

The gun control thing is obviously #1 on every loud-mouth's list

I've heard some references to violent TV + Films, as well as referencing Batman film directly.

Blaming the parents came up for a bit

And the non-stop footage of them trying to disarm the guy's apartment and get inside was almost on constantly during THAT period

Still, among it all... I'm STILL annoyed at the parents bringing their 3month old kid to the midnight premiere of one of the most anticipated films of the summer.
