Ghost Recon Future Soldier Patch

An update to this thread on the Ubisoft forums reveals that the new version 1.3 patch is now available for Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Future Soldier, about a weeks later than was planned. A downloadable version of the patch for the military shooter sequel is available on The Patches Scrolls, where they also have the surprisingly sparse patch notes.

I was shocked when it came out of beta and I picked it up and just about all of the same bugs were there. The one that really pisses me off is when you spawn and your camera gets locked focused on one spot and if you turn the camera at all it snaps back to that spot. Really annoying but cool as hell if you manage to get a kill somehow without being able to turn haha.

I really like the game though and wouldn't discourage anyone from picking it up. It's still a lot of fun and hopefully a patch or two down the road will alleviate a few problems.

I play on PS3 so I can't speak for how bad it is on PC.

This game is a giant mess. Constant CTDs, MP doesn't work. One of the buggiest games I've come across in a while.

Stay the hell away until (if) they patch it.

edit: "patch it" refers to the next patch (1.4) and if it does what it's supposed to. Given that it has taken them this long to patch these relatively trivial (though, of course, crucial) things that should have been obvious in testing, I wouldn't hold out a lot of hope for the more technical flaws they're "investigating" for 1.4 being sorted any time soon.

If it worked, the game would be decent enough. Worth picking up in a good sale at some point.
