And not really the same genre, but the Battlestar Galactica free-to-play MMORPG runs on Unity. Sure, it's easy to shit on MMOs or free games (but not BSG; I'll fuckin' cut you), but the engine itself is pretty solid. Plenty for an indie game. |

If you guys want to see what the Unity engine can do check out City of Steam. It's a cool little Steampunk themed ARPG that looks and plays a lot like NWN2. It's pretty amazing how good it looks and runs for a browser game - and the game itself is fun and the devs are good guys. It'll give you a good idea of what we'll be looking at for Wasteland 2. |

I like the screen but I hope they don't post another one without post-processing and particles. People can't read and they won't stop complaining about what was already explained.

| Wow. Just wow. Some of you guy supports ks with huge amounts. I applaud you for taking huge risks (unless $150 or 250 are peanuts to you). Since I don't believe ANY developer anymore, I won't support them with my money upfront but will definitely buy the game if they can deliver. |

This is a game all about the gameplay and the graphics take a backseat. He did raise a lot of money but not that much money to actually get real pretty graphics, this shows that the game will use good enough graphics to serve the gameplay and that's all I could want. I know. It's a ks project, sure, but that does not mean it has to look like, well, Diablo III . There are a couple of indie games out there that do look better than this, and a good engine does not necessarily harm the quality of the gameplay. |

Decreased Vibrance Screenshot They may plan to do something like that in post processing (which was not present for this screenshot), but regardless, I think its worth you posting that example somewhere where the dev team can see it. Such as on the kickstarter comments for this update, or on their forums. They ARE listening to fans and their input. |

I would agree but anyone who played the original will remember that the original map graphics were so rudimentary that the original team may not have had a chance to express the particular art style they had in mind for wasteland. However, if I was to go by the monster portraits of the original, I would say this version is still too cartooney or "disney" looking to match up with my idea of their original vision. It almost has the look of a board game or train set kind of tiny town thing. But maybe thats what they want.
Anyways, graphics are at the very bottom of the list when I think about what this game will offer. I would also bet that is the general consensus. |

Here's the kickstarter update if anyone wants detail about the status and the screenshot: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/inxile/wasteland-2/posts/271440
"Please keep in mind that we have not put in the particle effects and post-processing which will have a dramatic effect on the scene, and this represents just one of the various environments for Wasteland 2 so expect to see other quite different locales."
Also its a useful link if you don't want to goto facebook.
