Do research, it's true man. They gave the client a ridiculous level of access and control, the hacks can do pretty insane things and obtain unusual levels of subtlety that would normally be caught due to the lack of things like Battle Recorder and etc. Trying to argue with a BF3 fanboy is as useful as arguing with a console fanboy. |

Also, normally, in other shooters, 95% of hacking claims are false. People just suck and don't understand that good players can do crazy things. If you've ever been really good at a FPS before, you'd be banned from everywhere. So, you see why I doubt you guys.
On non-PB BF3 servers tho, now THAT was hacking. My whole team constantly insta-dying at the spawn. Are you still trying to push the idiotic "there's no cheaters, only good players" rhetoric at us? Are you that stupid to think people here actually don't use their brains to differentiate the reality from what random fanboys spout about their games?
Holy fuck the PC community for BF games has gone way, way down in quality, pretty much like BF itself I guess. What I'm saying is that your brain probably doesn't have the skills to detect real cheaters. That said, I haven't actually done research into BF3 hacking, so perhaps it's true that everyone has a non-obvious hack installed. Stop taking this personally. I'm just saying that in other games, 95% of the time, people are wrong. |

| My prediction is BF4 will be a futuristic shooter as a spiritual successor to 2142. Despite all the fans wanting one before, EA had told DICE there wasn't enough interest to warrant its development. But now that Black Ops 2 is coming out, along with a glut of other futuristic shooters on the way, EA will do as EA does, and follow the trend rather than being the trendsetter. |

Until they make a stand against cheaters, there is no point in bothering. Rampant cheating? You're one of those guys who gets mad when he gets killed and doesn't know why? Are you an idiot? Wait, you already answered positive with the reply above.
As a friend once said, only retards can't seem to see that BF3 is the game with the most rampant cheating ever or at least very close to ever. I've seen plenty in BF3, tho I feel like when I was playing CoD:MW2 that I saw a FUCK of a lot more, and it wasn't just aimbots and wallhacks, but way more rude with altered EXP per kill, throwing your progression out the window. Problem is, and people here who play it can attest it, that most of the hacks for BF3 are god damn subtle, they aren't the kind of hacks that make a player go 140-0 but rather make the cheater go 40-20. Hell, from what I've heard, the level of sophistication and subtlety of the cheats for BF3 is above anything ever made before.
Of course the total lack of battlerecorer, first person spectate or even a decent killcam worsens the cheating problem since catching them becomes even more hard.
From what I keep reading it appears BF3 is a cheater's playground where they can cheat knowing that nothing will ever happen to them. It's that bad. Well geez, if the hacks are so subtle, I don't see the point of them. They sure as hell don't break my game. I'm almost always at the top of the leaderboard and it's never frustrating...

tf2 does VOIP quite well and thats a fairly old game. Heck, the original counterstrike did VOIP too, and thats what, 10+ years old now?
Dice doesn't have much excuse to not do good VOIP. |

I'm not sure I would want it fixed in Battlefield. It is not that difficult for them to have an option to toggle it off or mute a player. Given that it's Dice they would probably fuck it up but people always argue against squad voip by saying they dont want to hear little kids on mic, as if it has to be one or the other. I find it weird people are actually defending a devolution of PC gaming by taking away features and actually reasoning that that is good. No, no it is not good and it also isn't a black and white scenario. As Dades said, coding a toggle is easy and in fact most PC multiplayer games with VOIP do have it.
The result of not having VOIP is that apparently most BF3 matches end up in base raping with one team getting totally crushed. That's the price of not having VOIP, if people like unbalanced games like that, well, good luck with your next game, I prefer balanced games myself with the tools that allow such balance. |

Rampant cheating? You're one of those guys who gets mad when he gets killed and doesn't know why? Sounds like you're in denial, there is a lot of hacking on BF3 public servers. Google some hacks or look at some players Battlelog reports sometime, it will be an eye opener. |

What killed BF3 for me was the rampant and obvious cheating. I'd rather play against bots than cheaters online. EA did nothing to fix the issue of cheaters.
Don't believe the shill from EA that posted earlier in the thread.

This is going to be a case of "we listened to the community for Battlefied 3 and are implementing many suggestions in Battlefield 4"
If it's not BF2143 or a complete change of era and venue it will be criticized as being a $60 or $70 patch for Battlefield 3. |

| It's a shame that they seem to have abandoned making proper expansion packs in favor of DLC packs that are a fraction of the scope. The previous Battlefield games had memorable expansion packs that really expanded the life of the game and were worth $30. |
