Raimi Off World of Warcraft Film

Sam Raimi will not be directing a film based on World of Warcraft, CraveOnline reported from Comic-Con last week, saying the movie will need another director now that he's signed on to direct Oz: The Great and Powerful. This seems to indicate he was officially connected with the project, but reports emerged early this year that he would not be wowing us with a WoW film. Thanks VG247 via IGN.

Haven't seen that one but I've seen Dead Alive (apparently Braindead) more times than I would've liked due to a good friend who's a fan of the splatter/splatstick genre.

Hard to believe that 5 years (and about 5 films) later he was working on LoTR. But I guess Raimi came up that way too.

That ship sailed so long ago it renamed itself to the Black Pearl and was already in a few famous movies, it couldn't wait any longer, it has a family to feed.
