what's worse was their userbase told them (sometimes very vocally) the updated site sucked, but they refused to listen. And look what it got them...
And just to show that some people don't learn their lessons, the Gawker sites have been doing the same thing over the past few months. They've redesigned to the point of unusability.
Meanwhile, Reddit, which could really use an interface re-haul, seems to be gaining in popularity.
