Steam Summer Sale Begins

The eagerly anticipated Steam Summer Sale is now underway, and will run through July 22nd, with new deals to be added every day. The website seems to be struggling at this moment to meet demand, so a little refreshing may be required. Word is: "The annual Steam Summer Sale is on now. Gamers will find amazing deals on thousands of games. The Summer Sale will again feature more than straight discounts, offering Daily Deals, Flash Sales, and 'Customer Choice' Sales, the latter allowing gamers to vote for a title on a given list to be put on sale for a limited time." They list a; the Summer Sale 2012 Publisher Packs, there is a list of top sellers on sale down at the bottom of the page, along with a selection of flash sales that only last a few hours each, like Deus Ex: Human Revolution for 75% off for the next five hours. Hard Reset Extended at 75% BTW, I doubt it'll go lower than that. Anyone interested in grabbing that one should do it now.

I find it sad that Grimlock is such an amazing game and some of you didn't even think it was worth the already cheap 15 bucks. Shame.

And the awesome editor coming later on will make this game pretty priceless by adding endless replay.

I hope a Dungeon Master remake is the first mod to show up.

I will pick up Grimrock on your recommendations.
Deux Ex too, put that one off long enough. Who knows what else.

Yes! And grab The Missing Link DLC while you're there.

As a general rule, if I'm even interested and it's under $5 I buy it. Anything over $5 has to be something I want--for instance, Rayman Origins is $15 right now. I'm interested, but not enough to bite at that price.

For games I own, I do the obligatory DLC check and pick up the extra content.

Then I wonder if games can go lower. Hard Reset, which is high on my list, is 75% off right now. It's $3.75. Is it really going to get an even greater discount? I'll wait, but damn, even at that price nobody should pass on it.

I just think of all the games I already own and haven't finished yet.

There's always lulls in the gaming world. There's not much due out in the next year that I'm interested in, so I'll have plenty of time to catch up (if Guild Wars 2 doesn't swallow me whole, that is).

I'm getting the errors too of course but every other refresh works.

edit: Just got the "Pillar of Community" badge... Easy stuff. Though I was actually out of game videos to upload.

Love it--announce a sale that people have been waiting for and then can't handle demand.

And, as happens EVERY SINGLE BIG SALE AND RELEASE, valve still hasn't upgraded their load balancing servers enough to handle the load.
This can be verified by checking the content server status, NONE of them are maxed out, so they have the bandwidth, they just can't use it.
