Kaiju Combat Kickstarter

This Kickstarter is for a project called Kaiju Combat, planned as "the ultimate Giant Monster Fighting Game," featuring the talents of veterans of Godzilla games and comics, and one of the hooks here is if they raise enough funds and their fans desire, they will pursue licensing Godzilla for the game. Here's what they envision:

1-4 player battles in awesome environments.
Frequent releases of new content (monsters, stories, game modes) which can be added to your existing game, or purchased as stand-alone products!
Online matchmaking & tournament play. LAN support too.
DRM-free PC release (console release date TBA, based on initial funding)
Dynamic grappling, melee, ranged weapons, flight, burrowing, teleportation, dizzies, air combos, OTG hits, reversals, parries, super moves & more!

edit: Okay downloading the demo now. But that still won't tell me if I should give these guys a stupid amount of money.

This game is going to be fantastic! I cannot wait to play it! I just pledged $5000 and would do $50,000 if I could afford it! Do not wait, pledge now for the best game ever made! On a more serious note, there's no guarantee that this game will have Godzilla, Gamera, Ultraman or any established giant monster license. Licensing costs a lot of money so it's far more likely that all the monsters will be original creations, which dampens the appeal for many people.

Sure thing new poster with only 2 posts which both directly relate to this game. I'm sure we can trust you whole heartedly. Rolleyes

Anyway, I'm always down with the Gojira and friends, but seeing as the history is solely console I think I'll have to take a pass.
