Ships Ahoy - Crusader Kings II: Sword of Islam

Paradox Interactive has released Crusader Kings II: Sword of Islam, the first expansion for the Windows and OS X editions of Crusader Kings II, their strategy/RPG sequel. The expansion is available through digital distribution for $9.99/€9.99, and this page lists where it can be found. The add-on is accompanied by a new version of the game, offering "improved combat mechanics, numerous new events, traits and decisions." You can find the full patch notes on Steam. Here's word on the expansion:

Thought keeping an eye on one wife was bad? With the release of the Crusader Kings II: Sword of Islam expansion, this scheming strategy RPG will allow players to command Muslim nations, opening up a world of polygamous problems, new laws, traits, titles and over 100 new events, as well as a flavorful Islam-inspired interface. Experience the Crusades from the other side. Combat decadence within your own dynasty. And solve problems arising in your very own harem. Or just start panicking and invade France. Your call.

Crusader Kings II: Sword of Islam enables players to play as any Muslim ruler across the great dynasties including the Ottoman and Mamluk empires. These brand new gameplay mechanics reflect the distinctive traits of the great rulers and empires of the time, creating an entirely new experience for players and introducing another layer of richness to one of the finest strategy games of recent years.

It's a great game, but I'll wait for 1.06 to receive some hotfixes before buying the DLC. 1.05 got up to 1.05g I think before they stopped band-aiding it.

I'll probably pick it up on sale... still learning plenty on how to do things with the original.

Slowly attempting to build an independent Iceland and expand it through Orkney and Northern Ireland and Scotland

Is there a way to re-organized duchies under your control (as a duke anyway)? Seemed like I could in the first few years, but after that - everything seems static.
Also, when your liege is instituting crown authorities - I can't seem to find a way to change vote between accepting or opposing outside of the initial question?

I've pretty much been a keep to myself type person, mostly marry for skills rather than alliances, and to keep a number of children up and coming in my court to educate - since when I have tried otherwise (either pressing claims or having allies to call in) has never seemed to work out. Did manage to get a branch of my dynasty a barony over in Germany though.

The DLC is not available on Steam as of yet. Hopefully they'll get it up today.

Looks like Steam has it now: http://store.steampowered.com/app/203778/
