I am thoroughly enjoying Max Payne 3, though a few annoyances stand out, one of which I'm not sure has been mentioned by Blues commenters..

-I am SO sick of the last stand mechanic. I really wish I could turn it off. It's practically ruining the game at this point. I would much rather die than to have it kick in ever again.
That, and the 'final kill' zoom in shot could be dropped and I wouldn't miss them the least bit.
Last stand is especially lame, though.

-There are some very strange plot points and twists. Sometimes what Max does or says seems very illogical. I know he's supposed to be on a bender from hell but still...

-And yes, the cutscenes are overpowering and unwelcome on many occasions.
Taking control away from the player consistently so that Max can open a door or flip a switch or scratch his balls is VERY unnecessary.
Seriously, if those were all for the purpose of loading, they should have optimized their shit better.

All in all though, the fantastic gunplay, which stays in the same vein as the original games, is the glue that holds this game together. That and the phenomenal graphics/animations.
Although some say that moving Max feels clunky in comparison to the older games - which is true, per se - I find his movement to be absolutely fine, and does not affect my blasting-fools proficiency.

Awesome game.

PS. Using blind fire is sublime. I love riddling dudes from behind cover.
Being able 'stick' to cover objects in a Max Payne game worked out well. And really, you don't have to use it, either.
