Fuck yeah! I think it's from a movie intro clip but I have heard it once, I forget where. Still, 3wave ctf is pure win. Quake 1 revolutionized a whole lot and its not widely recognized for that.
(DayZ mod might come close 2nd or 3rd fav mod ever tho) |

AH, yea, mine doesn't look like that at all....er color I guess, but even that is changeable.
/so.. Batman LEGO 2 is pretty darn good. Maybe it is because I don't play console much, and only play the LEGO games co-op, but the split screen (yes they went away from the single screen for 2 people) is pretty darn cool. As you go out of the main screen, it then dynamically breaks into 2 screans, but not LEFT and RIGHT, it rotates you around the screen as your general direction from the other person changes. Hard to explain, but I will see if I can find a video....

Same color scheme, and some of the page layouts are the same. As I mentioned , there is some innovation there. And all in all it's solid. But why do all game clients have to be dark gray? Steam, Origin, Gamefly, and Stormpowered all use the same color scheme. |

So, I finally got around to installing the Gamefly client to access my old D2D games.
1. Wow, copy Steam much?
2. They have this constant stream of user comments in the right margin that looks like they're paying someone to write them:
"Where are all my peeps?"
"k, dudes, I'm out. Gotta bring my car to the shop in the morning"
"I didn't know there were fire spells until the final boss! LOL!"
There was at least one that was probably legit though:
"Deus Ex HR on Steam for $7!!111"
On the other hand, it was stable, all my old games were there, and fast. I was able to DL Civ 4 in about an hour. And I like the icon-based game list. |

Resolution fix
Last I looked (a year or two ago), valve's Quake install featured a glQuake exe, but it wasn't the latest. Did they ever fix that? Or anyone know where to grab the latest/last glQuake executable?

Didn't work really well for me - had to use the above. I will give it another go.
Broke down hanging out with one of my nephews today, we went to Target and got matching Batman shirts, some new hats, and Batman Lego 2. Having a blast. I miss being 6. |
