| I was considering pre-ordering today from GMG. Found out you can get a stackable 10% off coupon for taking a survey bringing the total down to $24.30. Although a couple of the reviewers sounded overall disappointed, they seemed to have a lot of good things to say. It's just a matter if this is worth $24.30 or not. One thing that was keeping from ordering earlier was that I only paid $11 for the base game on sale, then I picked up the expansions for another $15 when they went on sale. I was having a hard time justifying paying more for one expansion than I did for the game and all the DLC, but it took so long for them to go on sale though. |

Even if I thought the expansion was on the expensive side I was actually hoping this expansion brought changes to the gameplay and not more of the same. That the AI is still as bad as it was is certainly the worst part for me. It does seem to be more of the same. I like Civ V so I'm happy with this but it was never going to rewrite the rulebook and if you didn't like V's changes, there was little chance this would be for you. Sadly, it doesn't seem to address the fixable flaws with V, for example the dire diplomacy.
Fair enough, ASeven. |

Then again, people will spend money mindlessly anyway and call other cheapstakes for having common sense on knowing when to spend money or not. I don't think you're a cheapskate for not buying this, that's your decision. However, I do think you're being a dick for implying I'm mindless because I have a different opinion from you. This is my decision. Fair and true, this was aimed at that guy that said in the last CivV thread that anyone not buying this was a cheapstake. It's your money, do with it what you want, even if I personally believe people should make more informed purchases. |
