Happy Father's Day! Our day today still centered around MrsBlue's birthday, as we had her sisters and brother-in-law over for some grilling. Her sister's hubby is an aficionado, so there was some pressure to do well on the food, and everything seemed to come out fine, including the first couple of racks of ribs made on the new grill. It was a great weekend, but with two late nights and a long day today, it was all pretty exhausting. Sort of the reverse of a relaxing weekend.

We were talking a bit about how DINKy our circle is, and whether this reflected our situation or a change in general. There were four couples at dinner Saturday, and only one had kids. Definitely not a baby boom.

Went to a friend's annual luau/pig roast on saturday.

Here's some before and after hog shots if you aren't squeamish about where meat really comes from

Yeah that after is looking pretty ragged but we had mountains of pulled pork, also you can spot a pineapple through the ribs.

My best friend's wife birthday is today. So tell MrsBlue she's in good company.

Been meaning to grab my copy of GOT on blu anyway, but the news has forced me to accelerate plans a bit. Oddly enough, I just checked and episode 10 is still on Amazon video. For what it's worth, it's a plastic head, but I'd also like to preserve the episodes like I first saw them.

Finally, kudos to the dads. I wish mine was here.
