They just added Silent Storm Gold to their catalog, and it's a fantastic game, and one of my personal favorites in the genre (up there with X-Com and Jagged Alliance 2).
As for Crossfire, I'm intrigued enough to try it. I may even buy Back in Action if it gets a good discount in the upcoming Summer Sale on Steam. ;-) Thanks for the heads-up! I loved Silent Storm back in the day.
It's not that I think BiA can't be a good game because it's basically realtime (pause and go to be precise) instead of turn-based like the seminal original; I just can't help being disappointed that a supposed "remake" of JA2 would change something so fundamental to the game. A game that was nigh perfect the way it was I might add.
I'll end up buying this I'm sure, as it looks pretty cool, but I'll keep wishing for a remake that is more true to the original. |

At the moment I'm being kept occupied with DayZ and Chaos Rising Co-op so it'll have to wait. I tried the demo, but it seems like stealth is still not really an option in the game. Enemies seem to detect you no matter what you do. Only real way to win on the harder maps like that is to stand off and use rifles to pick off enemies as they try to close with you. Well yeah, the demo was released before all the patching. I'd be surprised if they patched the demo half as much as the main game. Well if they've improved the game then they should really update the demo. I'm not sure what version it was when I played it, but it sucked, and definitely didn't make me want to purchase the game. Since that's kind of the point of a demo, it's pretty stupid that they don't update it, huh?
If they ever release a good demo, maybe I'll decide to get this. |

| Last time I tried to get S2 running it suffered from game-breaking framerate issues (either in vista x64 or 7 x64, i can't remember which). |

I bought JA:BiA recently on sale and am happy with my purchase. Great graphics and I see tons of potential in this game type. I want to help Kalypso and bitComp to keep improving their work, too. I'm glad about this expansion too. I never played JA2 and I'm sorry I missed it for so long. |

| If it isn't better than JA2 and I'm still happy to run through JA2 with a tweaked 1.13 mod, why would I bother with this? |
