It depends on who you ask, some people claim they could make as much as a million an hour, but the point is it was a nerf to try to stamp out bots, not people who were running it themselves.

And yet in the shotgun blast they also kill legitimate players methods for gaining gold/playing the game.

But that's okay, eventually your credit card will replace all that.
