From the article, another classic:

...we're not trying to be Target. We're trying to be Nordstrom.

Keep on dreaming and stay an inch or two outta kicking distance.

I think that perfectly outlines the disconnect between him and his target audience (no pun intended).

EA doesn't understand shit about price and demand elasticity. Holy fuck, having read that torrent of shit coming from EA I can safely say that interview harmed my intellectual properties.

I hadn't been following Wreck-It Ralph at all, but I loved the trailer. Being a fan of John C Riley doesn't hurt, either.

And yeah, EA is clearly using the old line of thinking. Gabe and a number of devs with their products on steam have talked about how their numbers go through the roof, as games are priced cheaper...

I bet Runic, Gearbox, and CDProjekt RED are going to be super pissed after I've pre-ordered their next games, based upon buying the first ones for 50% during a sale. They now have a full-price, day one buyer. The horror. Typical short-term thinking of American business these days. WE WANT MONEY NOW, TO HELL WITH THE FUTURE!
