U8 was also a pretty bad Ultima game. Setting aside the RPG issues (like not having a party in a core game for the first time since Ultima 3), the entire concept of virtues that had played a key role in Ultima 4-7.5 was suddenly gone, and you have to commit some seriously questionable acts to win the game. It might have been noteworthy if the events in U8 tied in to U9 somehow, but no, they don't. It was as if the Guardian had banished the Avatar to a different game universe. |

I remember getting a lot of hours out of U7. I'm not sure I ever actually beat it.
If the game came with the "Forge of Virtue" expansion I would recommend doing that late-game. The stuff you get from it is kind of over-powered IMO.

| thats what ive heard.. it could be challenging because i go slow on big games, usually play them over months and months - and i know there is no "quest log" or anything like that.. gonna have to go back to journaling and mapping with pen an paper |

Ultima 7 is definitely worth playing.
Ultima 7 Part 2 is worth playing.
Ultima 8 is not. Not even for $3.

| Picked up Wing Commander 3, I don't think the voice packs and other expansions are part of the WC 1+2 package? Would rather just have the whole thing so I'll look for them to update that at some point. |
