Batman: Arkham City Demo

The Batman: Arkham City on Steam Page now offers a playable demo for Rocksteady's stealth/action sequel. There's no word on what the demo includes, but it obviously requires Steam to play. Thanks Frans.

It's a time-limited demo (15 minutes), but you can play it multiple times. You can go anywhere in the play area but there are barriers restricting how far you can actually travel, so you can't visit the whole city. I'd say there are maybe five or six city blocks to move around in.

I had to play it twice, the second time to try and do the stuff I didn't have time to do the first time.

For anyone who has played the full game, the demo starts just before the part where Batman meets Catwoman in the court house and Joker tries to shoot Batman.
Can you finish the demo in 15 minutes?

I got this game when it hit from Greenmangaming. Unfortunately thanks to their craptastic 'manditory' program, the game would never install and I went round and round with them to get it fixed and it never did (I tried again a few weeks ago). As you can imagine it put me off the company.

I'm hoping to see the game on steam cheap maybe this winter.

Yes the Green Man Gaming download client is unbelievably bad. Fortunately the last game I bought there, Mass Effect 3, came with a code that let me alternately just plug it into Origin and download there. I think Steam games have a similar system. I would never recommend buying a game at GMG unless they're really just selling you a discounted code for some other service.

You have just implied that something is worse than Origin. I'll go and fetch my popcorn.

I made the same mistake with Gotham City Imposters. I thought the game used Steamworks but it didn't, so I ended up having to use GMG's terrible Capsule app. I eventually rebought the game on Steam when it went on sale, just so I wouldn't have to use the Capsule.

Although it's a bit late for a demo, I guess it's better than no demo.

Great game. Just picked it up when it went on sale a month or so ago. More sandboxy than the first one, but gameplay is pretty much the same.
