Funny enough, up here in Canadaland they make you train to put 3 rounds(in 6sec) into the head of a prisoner with your 9mm before they let you get out of depot(rcmp and federal prison guards). Centre mass only comes into play if they're more than 23ft away now. WOW! That is a lawsuit waiting to happen! What if the guy is in a shooting and doesn't perform that well? Cause they aren't going to!!!! Geez. We qualify 2x a year by state standards (Minnesota), but we don't keep scores and we don't keep targets, etc. It is a pass/fail. Keeping scores, targets, etc is a good way to get you and your dept sued for liability if a bullet goes errant or many other reasons....no one can control or predict what happens in a high stress situation....adreno does weird weird things.
I have watched a guy put 50+ rounds in a hole the size of a lemon into a target at 30+ feet and then not hit a thing when under stress/pressure induces training situation. Also have seen the polar opposite situation. |

| I think the negative finding about gamepads is far more interesting. Twiddling a thumbstick does not help you aim a gun. That isn't surprising to me, but it is important to help counter the bullshit of Anders Behring Breivik. |

Shuold say "Violent Video Games Make Publishers Lots of Money". Along with violent movies, tv shows, smut mags, racy grandma novels, etc.
What do you want to bet that people who play the SIMS games are rapists? Why not do a stupid ass article on that as well? Does anyone ask these people if they play SIMS? Or are on FB? Or Myspace? What about if they like oranges? Do they get their nails done? What shampoo do they like? Are they a Chevy or Ford person?
Just sayin.... |

People learn to sword fight with blunt sticks... YOU COULD PROBABLY WATCH YOUTUBE VIDEOS AND USE ANY OBJECT FROM AROUND YOUR HOUSE AND LEARN TO MURDER.
