It's like tramemarking "elf" I imagine they can trademark certain uses/appearances/flavors of 'dragonborn' (i.e. anything involving their IP) but not all of "dragonborn." As you say, Wizards of the Coast used it before Bethesda, and someone else probably had it in a book somewhere a few decades ago, as well. |
