I've died a few times with the Barb, mostly because of the play style that class encourages: rush in and keep swinging. It's easy to get in over your head if you're not careful. I went through on a Barb first... And am messing around with a Wizard now, so that's what I would suggest ; )
As for Barb... past lvl 15 (maybe a bit earlier), I stopped dying... I would Furious Charge into a group... Ground Stomp (with suction) to stun, then Rend and if it's up, Revenge... I'm hoping most of this spec will be viable in later content, but I may have to change Charge to Leap or some such...
-Alamar I am now a 32 wizard just beat the game 4 mins before work this morning, and while I was chugging along fine, starting of Act III, I hit a horrible wall that sucked until I hit 30. Maybe later Mages get some nice AOE damage, but it was painful in Co-Op games.
Next stop, Monks! |

You get a mob with ability combos like Jailer + Desecrator, or Fire Chains + Arcane Enchanted, and it's just instant death. I am still having a blast though. Some of the mob combos seem reminiscent of Multi Shot Lightning Enchanted difficulty from Diablo II, giving me no small amount of trepidation about stepping into hardcore.
I encountered one champ pack who were innate closers, they would stick out what looked like a tongue, hit you with it and drag themselves to you, stunning you for a short time. These guys were also extremely fast and shot mortar rounds to boot. |

| I've got a level 40 demon hunter about half way through Act II Nightmare... and wow, they weren't joking when they said "YOU WILL DIE" in response to people who said the beta was too easy. I think I died 3-4 times in all of normal mode, and most of that was just to new boss mechanics. In Nightmare I've died 4-5 times to just a single unique mob. You get a mob with ability combos like Jailer + Desecrator, or Fire Chains + Arcane Enchanted, and it's just instant death. I am still having a blast though. |

I just stumbled into act 2 at lvl 17 or 18 (where I finally died for the first time), and hit 19 before bed. I'm been actively collecting gear that adds bonus xp per kill, which makes leveling very quick.
Need to find out where The Dictator is playing today.
TL2 beta also downloaded, so I guess I need to sandwich that in somewhere, too. What "sleep"?
