All you're left with is a Skinner box without any veneer to hide the fact that it's a Skinner box (as Diablo [all three of them] has done). Not that you don't have a point about the D1/2 devs not guaranteeing a good game, but Path of Exile hasn't even introduced the story elements into the game yet. They're still in closed beta and have deliberately left a lot of stuff out so as not to ruin the story for everyone. So passing judgement on that at this point is just nonsensical. Right now it's just basic quests and mechanics in the game. |

I'll try the stress test, of course, but... I dunno, man, can't get real excited. I always find these type of comments deliciously ironic because the devs making T2 are the same ones that made D1 and 2, therefore they are the ones that built Diablo as the powerhouse it is today. I always hated this comment because if I wanted to play Diablo 2, I'd play Diablo 2. That is why I hated Path of Exile so much when I tried the beta. Torchlight 2 might be different, but just because it is former Blizzard North employees doesn't mean they're immune from lack of originality. Obviously. I just find amusing those people who comment on T2 and are not aware of the devs background and think the original Diablo devs are still working at Blizzard and helped make D3. For the record, I was fully aware that the Torchlight series, not Diablo 3, is made by Blizzard North employees (look at my post history if you want). Which is why the original Torchlight was such a disappointment. It WAS linear and bland. The original game and Youtube videos are all I can go by - things I'll put more stock into than the fact that they're made by Blizzard North employees. The same guys made Hellgate: London.
See, the predicament I'm in is that I want a TRUE sequel to Diablo 2. I don't see it in Diablo 3 and Torchlight 2 for different reasons. I'm willing to give Torchlight 2 a try, but you have to admit, the background and graphics are a lot less appealing than Diablo's. That being said, the gameplay certainly looks a lot better than Diablo 3's. |

Blizzard can not stop me from playing WC, WCII, WCIII, D, D2, or SC -- they can stop anyone from playing WoW, SC2, and D3. This is the difference and it is not an improvement. |

it was mentioned that people should link their accounts for increased chances of receiving a key.
my runicgames account was created 2 weeks ago, but soon as i linked it to my runicgames forum account(2 days ago), I got beta key right away. Woohoo! That worked for me, got my key a few hours after linking accounts. |

Grim Dawn is now at $515K with a new stretch goal:
$535k - A new faction and story-line! This stretch goal was determined by a fan poll thanks to William Potash for having the idea to run that!
Bloody hell, and GD is an open world ARPG so linearity is mitigated as much as possible in this one.
I've got a feeling that in some months when GD comes out this will become the standard for ARPGs. The ideas they are implementing are amazing and the engine they're using is quite good. Mix it with a modern post-apocalyptic setting with added magic and fantasy and you have the potential of having a warrior using a machine gun on one hand and a sword on another. |

` Another Online Only Single Player GAME to war against the evil pirates? Bastards!
Oooh NM, my bad. This is a sane company who have an actual single player offline, 'LAN', online and co-op without the BLUE greed. I guess Torchlight 2 devs must be really ignorant of piracy to provide all that.
Stagger was mentioned twice in case anyone at Blizzard needs to look the word and meaning up.

Looking forward to it, good timing.
If all seems smooth on ship time... Take my money! Thanks for providing a gaming service, not spending resources on making a service that provides.
