What does the author mean by "super dense?" It shows up a few times in the article. When you double the diameter of a sphere, the result is an 8 fold increase in volume, so the planet has the same density as the Earth.
So, is the Earth also considered a "super dense" planet? If so, why not say that in the article? Why not say the planet has the same density as the Earth? Or does the author think, "Oh, it's twice the diameter but 8 times the mass, so it's 4 times the density!!!11" It gives the impression the author doesn't understand much about science and math. |
