SimOcean TMed

Siliconera has word that Electronic Arts filed a European trademark registration for SimOcean for use with video games. There's no further word on this right now, but the implication this may be a future installment in the Sims universe is obvious.

You people are stupid. This is a Sim game, it isn't going to be infested with DLC. It will have weak $40 expansion packs every 4 months instead.

No, they'll combine the two. http://store.thesims3.com/

Haha. So terrible.

Seriously. You see the prices on that stuff? Roughly speaking, 100 points is equal to $1 US. The "premium items", which are items with some sort of animation but no other new gameplay addition, are $4-to-$6. $1 for furniture or hair.

SimEarth 2 would be welcome... but really, a Sim game about the Ocean could be really deep. ... *chortles*

How to become an "indie game developer": Dye your hair a bright color, take a strategically angled profile pic, create a Tumblr account, fight on Twitter all day, and under NO CIRCUMSTANCES ever create an actual game.

Actually, upon thinking about it, I'd like to see The Sims redone for gamers. Then your Sim toon would have to sit at the computer and play a Sim toon for most of the day, who would be playing a Sim toon, and so on ad finitum, like a pair of facing mirrors. It'd be great! Computer

Actiblizzard have already made that game Laugh2

I hope I can make a world of mollusk people, and then micromanage when they go to work and when they poop.

It's an aquarium game with a DLC fish and accessory store. Farmville and Insaniquarium and all those others but "Ocean".

Knowing EA.... ugh.

I'd prefer a SimEarth remake, being a geophysicist and all.

I approve this post.

Also, to add a bit of EA flavor:

SimOcean, with Day 1 DLC, Water for Oceans, available for pre-orders!

If I was EA or Maxis, I would TM names for totally bogus games just to mess with people.

Ah, yes. I've been breathlessly awaiting the chance to play a good ocean simulator. Would wouldn't love to spend the day as plankton? Hey, it worked for Spore! </sarcasm>

Future Sims properties:

  • SimMountains

  • SimInterstellarVoid

  • SimGasGiant

  • SimVolcano

  • SimSepticTank
  • (Wait... that one could be real...)
