Sorry, brain fart. Naturally this isn't a game with subs, but it should still capture interest long-term. I played EQ2 for four years starting in 2007 before too much SOE happened to it and I quit. Will I be playing GW2 four years later? I don't know, one weekend is not enough to say. |

Meh, Planetside 2 will just be more of the same dull FPS gameplay. Mouse over enemy, click until they're dead, capture territory, repeat ad nauseam. Wait, what do you mean I'm oversimplifying it? 
Beta is great so far. It feels similar to what TOR tried to do with personal storylines, but it does it better. Voice acting isn't as good, though, and I have no idea if the fun will last long enough to inspire long-term subscriptions. |

I give it 1 month after launch and this will be like TOR and all the other games that tried to dethrone WOW and failed. Blues was filled with people claiming that TOR was going to be different. It was different in that it was a linear turd that would have been better off being a SP game with co-op.
I do hope that GW2 is good, but I'm skeptical.
Our Blue's group for the original GW ran over 2 years.

Does anyone know if pre-purchasing through gamestop or some other site will get me into the beta?
I'm not paying for the 150$ crap, even though they seem to be trying to force trick people to buy that version on the guildwars2 homepage.
They say that they are out of stock on the cheaper versions. How the fuck do you run out of stock on a digital download? I understand that they are limiting users to keep from over taxing the servers on launch, but how is a 60$ version going to take up more resources from a technical standpoint than the 150$ version!? I'll tell you how, it's bullshit! Freakin scumbags trying to trick people into buying the useless 150$ box of junk.
