Finding and hiring people in completely new
disciplines (e.g., economists! industrial designers!).
I'd add server specialists, UI specialists, etc too.

*sigh* Yet another posting with the same "four years experience required" BS... really getting annoying for somebody just out of grad school when everyone wants 3-5 years experience for most any position.
That sucks... I'm just about to start grad school in the fall, but I've been keeping an eye on the job market for my chosen career, and almost all of them say, "3-5 years experience OR a masters degree." Of course, the entire reason I decided to go back to school was because all of the jobs I was looking at as an undergrad required 7-10 years experience in addition to a bachelors. |
