LOL! Those 60 first class tickets are supposed to be for the production staff and their friends to scout exotic locations.
What a cesspool of greed those negotiations must have been. They probably realized MS was not the pushover cash cow they thought they were and cried foul.
Same thing happened with Marvel. Hollywood tried to eat them alive for years before they took control themselves. |

Not at all surprising to me that MS was too greedy for the project to succeed.
One of the terms that MS was demanding: 60 first-class plane tickets for Microsoft personnel and their guests to attend the premiere.
They weren't willing to put any money into the film, or willing to do any deals on merchandising. Basically they were trying to make a license deal for the IP. MS has more than enough money to do this on their own, they should just fund it themselves. They lost about $4 billion on xbox 1 (after including game sales), its not like a hundred million would hurt them that much.
