I think DA:O was already deep in dev before EA purchased Bioware but my memory of the timeline is iffy. The common perception is that Bioware has sort of gone on a quality slide since being purchased by EA. Certainly hasn't been helped by EA just giving other internal studios the Bioware moniker to ease marketing. That combined with EAs long running history of purchasing things and mishandling them is probably what he meant I would imagine.
EA did have that period where they started doing original IP again and it gave us those franchises though. I wish they would do that more often instead of "make cool thing, sequelize for decade". |

Seriously, EA make awesome games a lot of the time. This old hate is silly. Name the last "awesome" game they made, then ask yourself what that game would've been like without EA's taint on the developer. Obviously it's a subjective thing to consider, and if you believe games like Dragon Age 2, Crysis 2 & Dead Space 2 are better than the originals, obviously we are of two separate minds on the matter. Either way, one look at your avatar and I can see you are a handsome chap, and therefore I feel strangely insecure about my own manliness, therefore I have no choice but to forfeit my opinion to yours. 
Hmmm... Didn't like either Dragon Age... Enjoyed both Dead Space's about equally, and enjoyed both (all three) Crysis (Crysii?)...
Maybe this is why my distaste for EA isn't as prevalent around these parts...
Was EA not involved with Dragon 1, Dead Space 1, or Crysis 1/1.5?

| EA makes some good games - BF3, Dead Space 2, ME3, etc. They just have annoying marketing and shitty business practices. |

On the plus side, and I'm sorry guys, that my comment isn't immediately bashing EA or what not, it's not 30s of branding with 5s of 'teaser'... More like 6s of branding out of 18s total, but still, things are looking up : )
