Like Creston said, the crowd funding this is not interested in DLC and exclusive content. They want complete games. I am glad they are moaning.
Dude what they're doing is going so far over your head it's leaving contrails.
You're getting the complete game. Think of this game sort of like Neverwinter Nights, where you had a main story, plus you had a robust mission editor to create new content. Now imagine an ad that says "preorder today and get an EXCLUSIVE BONUS MISSION by the creators of the game!"
That's all it is. Anyone bitching about this I'm going to say probably isn't going to buy the thing anyway and will just pirate it.
Edit: What I *am* seeing is that a lot of people backing this have no real experience with Kickstarter. Stretch goals are part of what keeps the contributions coming in. None of their stretch goals have been anywhere near unreasonable as far as Kickstarter projects go. On the board game side of things, there's a shit fit if promos and rewards promised to kickstarters end up being non-exclusive.
Also, to the doubters that say they won't hit 1.5 million, generally speaking the first 5 days and the last 5 days of the project see the most fund raising, with as much as 50% of your fundraising coming from the last 5 days alone. I'd say that they could get another 400k easy in 2 weeks. They're averaging around 100k every two days or so right now in the mid-slump of the drive (which is specifically why stretch rewards are important).
My projection is that we'll see 1.5 million, we *might* see 2 million. My guess is about 1.6-1.8 million.
