Happy Easter Sunday to all who are celebrating!

We had a lovely dinner with the family last night. Today we celebrate Easter in a non-traditional manner with a cookout. I appreciate Cutter's suggestion that the most appropriate way to break in the grill would be with steaks, but they aren't the ideal choice for a gathering that will involve four people who don't eat red meat (one of whom may be reluctant about that situation to boot), so we have a simple menu of chicken wings & breasts and hamburgers accompanied by a salad and some potatoes and grilled veggies, with a nice fresh pineapple to grill for desert. Okay, I just made myself hungry.

R.I.P.: Veteran newsman Mike Wallace dead at 93.

damn. I was already hungry when I got up - now I have to go to work thinking about grilled foods all damn night......let alone I didn't get any ham or any other awesome easter foods....this sucks.

Well, at least you understand the importance of the right sort of christening. That may assuage the wrath of the BBQ gods somewhat. And four people who don't red meat? Wow, they sound about as fun as a case of the bubonic plague. Just make sure not to leave Hudson and the Gunnar-man out of some meat and meat by-products! I'm doing prime rib and roasted root veg for dins tonight.

And yeah, RIP Mr. Wallace. Man, was a hell of a reporter. 93 is a damn good run.
