2012 World of Warcraft Arena Pass Nears

The World of Warcraft Website offers details on the 2012 World of Warcraft Arena Pass, a premium completion for their MMORPG:

We’re pleased to announce that the 2012 World of Warcraft Arena Pass is nearly here. Starting April 10, players will be able to sign up to compete against like-minded individuals in a dedicated Arena sandbox. The Arena Pass service will feature access to the special tournament realms with level-85 character templates and epic gear from Cataclysm.

As an added bonus, we have included an exclusive reward that players can earn by purchasing their Arena Pass and participating in the competition -- an Armored Murloc in-game pet. Top players will also contend for a chance to achieve the “Vanquisher” title for their live characters. Players that choose to take part in the 2012 Arena Pass will also receive access to a special level-90 realm with upgraded epic gear after they’ve upgraded their accounts with the upcoming Mists of Pandaria expansion.

I don't understand your point of view. Has there ever been a game where you can endlessly use your best attack/weapon? The only game I can think of like that is something like the FF games, where once you have a weapon you always use it because it's your best weapon -- but that doesn't really seem to be in line with this kind of game. There is almost always some kind of limiting factor, energy, ammo, something.  
Truth is brutal. Prepare for pain.

I always thought cooldowns were stupid. I mean, not all cooldowns. Just the ones you obviously notice, such as the ones you mentioned which take 10min, 5min, 2min, whatever. It's just stupid, and I don't care what message of reasoning(keeps game balanced, or whatever) you have to justify it--it's still stupid.

I always wished WoW had a 1 vs 1 arena. Dueling just doesn't work as well, since you blow your cooldowns and have to wait ten minutes.
