I want high rez textures, enhanced animations/effects, and most important of all I want them to dig up the people and voice act all the text.
Nothing less than this would be considered enhanced since you can get all the other stuff with the mods available for the standard game. |

Textures? You mean sprites and pre-rendered maps! Sure, they are textures, but i would bet actual money that this "enhancement" does not include recreating all the art assets.
Though that is exactly what would be needed to actually have the game not become super-pint sized at 1920x1200 ..
Also who the heck uses 1920x1080p on PC ? |

| I never played this back in the day but I hope this will be an HD update to the older game, that would be fun to play it and see what all the fuss was about. |

I remember multiplayer support in the original back when I bought it in late 1998. I remember thinking why did they bother with MP in a heavily story based game centered around 1 particular character.
Now I wonder why the biggest announcement of this 'enhanced' edition so far is multiplayer as opposed to anything that would be indicative of an actual improvement over the quality of product any of us can get with just a few mods?
Techie714 is spot on. Unless they announce that they've managed to rewrite the Infinity Engine so that it properly supports higher resolutions as opposed to simply displaying a wider area nothing of what is being announced is actually 'new'. It might not be packed on the discs (whether original, GOG, or the recent D&D Master's Collection) but the mods and instructions aren't that hard to find or apply.

Read that from a hands-on preview somewhere (though the new content wasn't implemented yet). There was a lot of content either cut or unfinished in the original games that was hidden from regular players that the community has since implemented in various mods.
The longer this goes the more it reeks of a cash grab aimed at milking the name and NOTHING else. |

Yep I would buy it, if it had those features. I dont think that is asking to much from a "Enhanced Edition". Corrected. TY |

Their comments about their not being any comments that a PC version of the game is even in the works bothers me. The PC is the ONLY platform that matters and if these guys fuck this up good luck trying to get anyone to trust them again with anything they touch. And greed with the listed enhanced features listed by Techie. |

;p Resolution of Infinity Engine is fixed, you only enlarge the space you can see and thus make everything smaller by doing so. So their "enhancing" is basically the G3 Widescreen mod.
Get that, enhancing done. ^^ Well, the G3 widescreen mod isn't perfect, and you need additional mods to make the UI usable at the higher resolutions, and most of those break other features like windowed mode. So, it would still be an improvement over the current mods.
