And now remember what you learned about exponential growth, and think about what happens in our life-time. This is not the best time to think about starting a family of 5 if you ask me. The overpopulation problems will only get worse. And this isn't even about space or food, but actual resources and water (because of the hot)
2050 WILL be scary as fuck, I wish none, nobody, absolutely NOBODY to live to that era of resource shortages and resource wars.
Heck, If I am lucky, I die with a heart attack before it all starts. And I will not send children into a future where the only prospect is this. You don't even need to be an intellectual to see where the world is headed, and it ain't paradise. |

The world population thing is pretty scary... I remember back when I learned we passed 5bill... and now only a couple decades we're at 7bill.
Sure, we still have "land" for new people to occupy... but between the increase of needed resources and generated waste that can't be a good thing.
Heck, in my parents' lifetimes the population has more than doubled.

CRPG hoarding is one of the reasons I stopped playing Oblivion, FO3, FO:NV, and Skyrim. You don't make much progress when after every dungeon you need to go home and carefully put each item into their properly categorized storage locations.
I haven't played far into Witcher 2 but I put a no item weight mod on right away. |

If I recall, you are a big charcoal purist right? If not, and there is any chance you might consider gas, I had a natural gas quick-disconnect installed in my new house when we moved in. I also picked up one of the pretty nice Weber stainless steel grills, and absolutely love it. It keeps heat perfectly, warms up quickly, and the thick stainless grill and flavorizer covers hold up great. My one complaint is on my model the knobs take up most of the right shelf, which was naturally fixed the year after I bought mine. :/

Dunno about Blue but I couldn't do that. I have a grill on my gas cooker in the kitchen, I can't imagine it being outside making any difference.
Our BBQ is on it's last legs so thinking of replacing it with an American style smoker something like this |

I was just thinking the same thing. Hell, just dig a firepit in the backyard, line it with stones and throw a portable grill over it. I have one friend who did that about 20 years ago. He's never had to replace anything and his meat and meat byproducts taste way better than charcol or gas. You can experiment with different woods for flavours, and you also have a firepit for half the year where you, the wife and dogs and any guests you have over can hang out after dinner, drink wine and watch the flames. Nice.

I have so little faith in Dark Knight Rises. Batman begins was very underwhelming when I first saw it. The Dark Knight totally blew me away, to the point when I think about any possible sequel its already starting to pale in comparison in my minds eye.
And the title...Dark Knight Rises....sounds like a trash 80's porno flick... |
