| Well this is good for everyone. Steam needs to have some serious competition or else we will get screwed. Also DRM Free is extremely important! |

Hopefully this doesn't stop or slow the re-release of old games which was kind of their secret sauce. I don't see myself buying many indies on gog when I can get them on desura, steam, or directly from developers. If they ever have an exclusive sale though...
But if they stop or slow releasing older games I don't think I'll visit gog.com as often. |

I bought the QuackeCon pack a while ago to get all the Doom content plus the Quakes. Doesn't stop me from using the Doom wad files with ZDaemon and Doomsday |

There are emulators aplenty, such as Amiga Forever , WinUAE, but no one has legal rights to obtain software for it, unless you own the originals and somehow create the .adf files from the disks.
But if GoG could incorporate all that, and bring back the REAL games from the golden 80's & 90's, well that would be icing on the cake. |

So long as I can buy the executable without needing a separate program I'll consider GOG for anything. I'd almost definitely go with Steam first, but I wouldn't turn down a good deal or exclusive. |

Wait till something on Steam's end screws up and they suspend your account and lock you out of all the games you ever bought for almost 2 weeks as you work it out with "support" and you'll change your tune. Believe me I loved steam and have bought several hundred games from them over the years and till it happens to you, you really won't appreciate DRM-Free, or how bad an idea it is to have all or a good portion of your games dependent on a single client/account. Steam has a nice convenience factor but convenience means jack when they can lock you out of all the games you bought from them over the years due to their own error. |

I would play old mac games too. I know there are Mac SE emulators for PC that work okay for games.
Dungeon of Doom, Crystal Quest, Captain Magneto... There were some pretty good games on the old Macs too. |
