Back in the day I was a PC gamer myself. I cut my teeth on shooters on good, old fashioned Team Fortress 1. So I'm excited to do right by the PC players soon." It will be released with the mod tools. Seriously another what 5-6 months until the next CoD title launches, why bother with this whole Elite crap. For the consoles it makes sense because console CoD fans would buy all the horse armor you can sell for them, but for the PC? By the time these guys get their act together Black Ops2 will be out and noone will be playing Modern Welfare 3 anymore. Well, 8 months, but yeah. Again, though, they've said repeatedly that Elite will be free on the PC, so it isn't a fleecing issue, but it seems the interest boat has probably sailed by this point.
And it's almost definitely a different team doing Black Ops 2. Even if the Elite team is the same whatever groundwork they're doing for MW3 likely carries 90% over for BO2. |

If Black Ops 2 doesn't deliver some sweet goods, I'm done with this franchise. I want a campaign that doesn't suck this time coupled with plenty of extra single player content. Footage from the new zombie mode had better rock my socks.
MW3's survival mode suffers from a strange desync bug that continues to have gone unfixed. Releasing DLC maps while letting shit like that fester is how you lose my business. I was done with this franchise after the first MW. Why the heck would I pay full retail box price for a new "game" that offers considerably less than many mods do, for free? AND takes away important features, like dedicated servers? Fuck that shit. MW2 and 3 should have been sold as DLC for about $10 each, and Black Ops maybe a $30 expansion. |

Singleplayer is incomprehensible gibberish with infinitely respawning enemies. Multiplayer is full of excellent players, great cannon fodder, a constant adaptation to primary strategy and enough differentiation between weapons that you can build classes to play in nicely different variations of run-and-gun (not different roles, so "class" is an odd term, and it always seems that they try to exterminate the things that cause these differentiations, like how some guns let you sprint longer than others.) |

Well partly that, mostly because they don't give a shit about them. Agreed, but I was correcting the guy claiming PC didn't get Elite. |

And strangely people keep buying their shit. It's like the abused wife who keeps claiming that's it her fault her husband beats her. No matter what he dishes out she keeps going back for more. But it's even better in this case because they get to laugh all the way to the bank...literally. |

"I'm sorry, I know you guys get the short end seemingly a lot." It's not seemingly, it's statistically, and yeah, you've ignored your core base for far too long. In fact...we're the reason you even have a franchise...as the first CoD wasn't even available for consoles, and arguably the reason for the franchise excitement.
I'll get poo-pooed for this I know, I don't care, PC gamers are PC gamers for a reason...we came to experience, then expect a higher level than was experienced on our older consoles...and yes console makers, you failed to deliver that in your subsequent machines. You instead opted for the LCD when marketing all that gaming prowess.
Now we're stuck with pinheads like this, who don't even have a clue as to the kind of damage they are doing to their franchise with comments and actions as such.
I'm still trying to figure out why this game still gets headlines, when it's consistently trounced by other games in terms of number of gamers playing, one of them being TF2 oddly enough. |
