On Guild Wars 2's Personal Stories

ArenaNet Blog now offers a new look at Guild Wars 2 called "The Evolution of Narrative in Personal Story" written by Leif Chappelle, one of the developers of the upcoming MMORPG sequel. Leif recaps the concept of personal stories, and details the process the team uses to create them. Thanks Cutter.

So did I read something correctly that you won't be able to keep trying instances that you fail? On top of that it changes how the game progresses? I am getting more and more excited about this game.

It's really not clear to me how that would work. It's certainly true that if you fail a dynamic event, then there's no guarantee that you'll get to try it again any time soon (the world may not spawn it again for awhile, or the village you were defending might be burned down).
