And btw, I'm talking ABOUT official sites. I've seen fake download ads like that both on legit sites, and on the download sites many legit sites host on.
Ads? Come on, ad block!
That may work on my computer. But not on relative's.

I'm only going to believe it when all those fake DOWNLOAD links that download adware/malware (and yes they are often from google ads) disappear from download sites. Man, its getting so I MYSELF have a hard time telling WTF is a real download link anymore. And I consider myself a computer expert.

And here's the google blog entry source link:

Yeah, that sucks. Hence why I use official web sites, ad blocker, hosts, etc.

and please fix your search results as well. The left wing bias is totally provable!
If you were right, I would be agreeing with you.

I agree Dev.

I've had a home computer since around 1990 or so and never had a virus, key logger, any of that stuff. Once a year or so I would download a scanner to prove to myself I hadn't gotten a virus and then immediately delete it. But it's become so prevalent I finally gave up the ghost and permanently loaded anti-virus software onto my computer.

Truth is brutal. Prepare for pain.
