The
Baldur's Gate Website that recently surfaced now features a countdown, presumably related to the hope "to announce something soon" expressed by former BioWare designer Trent Oster, co-founder of Beamdog, who own the website. The countdown looks like it will hit zero around noon EDT tomorrow, so hopefully we'll learn more about plans for the RPG series then.

How would you HD REMAKE sprites and the infinity engine (which is based on sprite-tiles) - it would cost more to re-render (and for characters, redraw) all art assets than to make a new game.
This announcement claims to raise infinity engine from the dead, so i highly doubt we are looking at some mediocre HD remake of BG (which would be very problematic due to the dnd license needed to begin with) |
