It looks like Ivy Bridge is targeted more toward the mobile market anyway. Lower power consumption, integrated graphics. It just can't compete with a 6 core SB-E, which I'll be going with for my upgrade this summer. I'm due for a new laptop sometime soon though, and I'll definitely be looking at IB for that.

Intel is having all sorts of problems with the sandy bridge chips. The chips just randomly lock up, the overclocking crowd is avoiding them.
