Medal of Honor: Warfighter Details

Computer and Video Games summarizes the promised details on Medal of Honor: Warfighter from the preview in the new print edition of Official XBOX Magazine. These turn out to be fairly minimal, repeating things already revealed like its focus on real-life elite Tier 1 Operator, the use of the Frostbite 2.0 engine, and how Danger Close will handle multiplayer instead of DICE this time around. New details include how they are parsing the term "authenticity," saying: ""Danger Close says it's going for 'authenticity' rather than 'simulation' (your health will still recharge)," though they also say: "Fans should also expect a one-shot-kill 'hardcore' mode and some kind of co-op support (although a full campaign seems unlikey [sic], says OXM)." The other new detail they offer involves freedom of choice: "This time around it sounds like there will be slightly more player choice offered during missions, with one example described by OXM having players choose how to breach a building (kick down the door, C4, flashbang etc)."

I hope it's a consistent engine for MP/SP this time around. I didn't care for the fact that they used UT3 for single player and frostbite for the multi.

I really enjoyed the level of detail they dumped into the single player campaign. The fact that they had different makes & models for the AKs was a nice touch.

I also liked how they included the blurred outline of the KillFlash cover on the Aimpoint sights along with very well modeled sight pictures for all the other guns in the game.

On the other hand the MP weapons looked like generic bubba'd weapons with airsoft-grade knockoff tacticool accessories and poorly modeled sight pictures.

Wow, how 1998 of you(hint: Rainbow 6). Fucking FPS games are so goddamned awful these days

Wow, that's hilarious. Fuckin' people with their short attention spans, and their Call of Duty. Can you believe that standing still and aiming down a sniper rifle's scope is now dubbed "hardscoping" (followed by various slurs) by these people?

I'll probably choose Arma 3 over this.
