I ended up buying Wargame: European Escalation and it is an awesome game. Reminds me of World In Conflict and Supreme Commander. I put a good 9 hours into is so far but really enjoying it. The devs also confirmed the coop feature people were requesting 2-3 humans vs AI is coming within a month.

Yeah it is good. If it goes on sale or if you have $40 burning a hole in your pocket pick it up. It is also a PC only title, so no DLC planned. I think they are going to release mod tools so the community can create their own maps.
The AI in this game is one of the best I've seen so far. Even on easy it will kick your ass. I've replayed some of the single player missions a few times to unlock more command points that lets you unlock more powerful units to use in SP and MP and the AI didn't always play the same way in SP. The AI units will always attack you from the same position but they may attack you then back out and wait until your are engaged in another fight then they return to attack you from multiple angels. The AI will outflank you and all sorts of stuff that real players would do in MP battles.
It is a challenging game for sure and because of that I really enjoy it. |
