STELLAR IMPACT This Spring

Meridian4 announces they have signed on as the North American publisher for STELLAR IMPACT, and the game will be released via digital distribution this spring, though the online strategy game is also currently for sale as the premium part of its free-to-play model. Word is this will be a fuller version of the game. "Stellar Impact created an impressive cult following during its beta program and we’re excited to expand the audience with a full featured release across all the major digital portals," said Steve Milburn, Marketing Director of Meridian4. "Strategy game fans will soon get to experience a dynamic new sci-fi adventure and challenging multiplayer experience." They also say the release will be followed by DLC releases.

If you don't have AI, then you better have a large player base. Almost all indie games do not.

By the way, I can imagine you as reviewer getting games even before release suffer from this far more than normal players as well. When you review and nobody is on-line or only super-hardcore players from the beta, you are simply out of luck. When the game doesn't have SP, you can essentially not review anything.

I don't envy your "job"

Imo, Indy games should entirely plan their game around the AI and only add MP once that is perfect. But you can't sell micro-nonsense in a F2P model if the SP gameplay is awesome. Nobody would pay for anything.

So a STELLAR FAIL, then

Also pretty hilarious that they have no AI.. just in the SOTS topic we talked about why some F2P's with competitive direction can fail.. good to see some companies follow the guidelines for failure perfectly

Only LoL is probably immune to all that.
