I dunno if I'd bother with Obsidian considering my shithouse experience with FO:NV...
I don't mind kicking in for small companies who haven't really 'made it' yet and who come up with a novel idea, but the idea of throwing money at established companies to make sequels of games that were actually great and which should be justified in their own right seems a bit bass ackwards to me...
Particularly when you factor in consolisation and dumbing down of most modern games. |

Seems like we need some rules laid out.
1. No Freaking DRM bullshit if your project is funded 2. Patches are required 3. if it's for to be for a console it must be disclosed so I won't fund a piece of console crap.
Anyone else have a list of demands if you're going to throw money at an unseen - un-reviewed - un-created product aka ultimate - pre-purchase? Amen to your rules, but IS it a pre-purchase? I wasn't under the impression that paying to the kickstart project gave you a copy once said game was finished?

A project with either of their names on it would certainly have a better chance of success than something Obsidian would do most likely. It's still extremely early though- I doubt we'll be hearing from people of their stature anytime soon. |

| If they are going the "spiritual successor" route, I'd vote for "Tormented Scapeplane". 50 bucks from me, and another 50 at launch time. Gotta be PC only and a REAL PC game though; no console concessions allowed. |

Although I wouldn't mind an Alpha Protocol sequel... I'd love to see them do a Vampire Masquerade RPG... especially if they picked up some ex-trokia devs along the way. About Troika - Tim Cain is now w/ Obsidian. About AP - Sega owns Alpha Protocol IP, currently.

| To be fair, while Fallout New Vegas was good, Obsidian's track record is 'meh' at best. |

What do they have besides Alpha Protocol that is their own IP? Yeah, people keep mentioned a Planescape followup, but wouldn't they have to license that?
I'd gladly give them $30 too, provided they support the damn thing post launch. New Vegas was a step in the right direction, but some of their previous products seemed like a cut and run.
