Myself and a buddy have been playing through it. We're both in agreement that the game is fairly large. Not Skyrim large cause there are no infinitely random guild quests. But still a massive game, and the storyline is great. Obviously, thanks to Salvatore.

The game is as generic as they come, the sidequests are wow style fetch crap and the only redeeming feature is the combat which gets old quickly because the game lacks any difficulty even on Hard. It's so easy the devs are looking into patching it to make it more difficult even. There is no need to specialize, money is trivial to come by and crafting renders most of the found loot obselete. The storyline is generic teenager fantasy crap courtesy of Salvatore. It is pretty much a singleplayer MMO with quests from the equivalent of the B writing staff at Blizzard.
The best thing I can say about the game is that you can disable post processing to turn off the ridiculous amounts of bloom. The faction quests are decent, the guys who did those should have been tasked with creating other content because they're the only ones who did anything worthwhile. |
